Preference Menu

Note – This guide applies to Genio Notes on your browser, desktop app, and new mobile app 📱.

As the interface is responsive, the layout may appear slightly different depending on your screen size or device, but the functionality remains the same.

Use the Genio Preferences menu to customise your workspace and manage your account settings.

Navigating to the Preference menu is simple! Click the 3-line menu icon in the top right corner, click 'Account', then 'Preferences':

A pop-up tab will appear with the Preference Menu options:

Keyboard Shortcuts

When turned on, you can customise your keyboard shortcut actions. For more details on using keyboard shortcuts, visit https://help.genio.co/article/99-keyboard-shortcuts

Transcription Profanity Filter

If the text contains an English word from our profanity list, Genio will automatically filter the text and display it as asterisks instead:

Hide Audio When Recording

This setting allows you to launch new recordings with the audio panel minimised (right column). If you need to access it during your session, simply toggle it back on via the layout options menu.

Transcription Timestamps

Toggle this on to enable timestamps to see exactly when each section of the transcript was spoken:
