Migrating to the new Genio Notes mobile app

The new mobile app will synchronise with your account and show you everything that is there. You will need to make sure that the old legacy app has synchronised, and uploaded everything, so that all your content is available in the new app.

Important - DO NOT uninstall the legacy mobile application without checking that your content has synchronised. Deleting the app will instantly and permanently delete all un-synchronised content.

We recommend completing the steps below with your device connected to wifi, rather than mobile data. And where possible use a strong home network, rather than a public wifi connection.

  1. Open the legacy Genio Notes application on your device
  2. Check what is shown to the right hand side of each Event. What do you see?

The Event has not synchronised, and you are off-line You need to connect to the internet (wifi or mobile data) and the icon will change

The Event has not synchronised

If you are on wifi - wait a few seconds and the Event will upload (the icon will change when complete)

If you are on a mobile data connection - click the icon to force the upload


Once all your Events show either just a time stamp,  or the down arrow in a circle, then you are ready to use the new mobile app. You can download the new app from the App Store, just search for Genio Notes.


Connect your device to wifi, open the new app and all your content will start to download. If you're missing any content check the legacy app to make sure everything has uploaded.
