Screen and Browser Recording

You can record the audio that's playing on your computer. On most devices, you can capture either audio playing in a 2nd browser tab (alongside Genio Notes) or the audio playing on a specific screen. See below for a list of what's possible.

To record browser audio the content that you want to capture has to be open in a tab alongside Genio Notes.

To record Screen Audio you can have your content open outside of your browser.  Please note that recording a specific application or window is not supported.

Operating System Browser Audio Screen Audio

Info - If you see a message saying 'Unable To Record Screen Audio' then you most likely haven't correctly gone through each of the 4 steps above.

Info - Pause Recording - Need to pause recording? Just press the ⏸ button! Find out more here: https://help.genio.co/article/287-pause-recording

3. Take Your Notes:

Navigate back to your Genio tab to start taking notes on the browser audio.

The browser will display a banner stating that you are sharing audio with Genio:

DON'T press STOP on this banner or Genio won't be able to record the audio for you.

Info - Other people in the session will not be notified that you are recording.
